Bakery
Our bread is freshly baked and delivered every morning from Wrangaton, just a few miles away, and tastes as fresh as it sounds. We have a wide range available, from granary and french sticks to bread rolls and fruit loaves. The Wrangaton bakery also produce breads for dieters, with their GI loaf and Honey and Spelt loaf being two of our most popular items.
January and February are well known for being the hardest on the pocket, but there is still plenty of local food around despite the cold. Brussels sprouts, endive, cabbages and spring greens are all available and at their best, as are potatoes - perfect for a hearty roast dinner. From our butchers, goose, hare, rabbit and wild venison are all in season right now, and mean you can eat like a King without spending like one!
